Una maga is a six-month printed almanac that brings together personal reflections on art and the collective unconscious, viewed through the lens of The Magician archetype from the Marseille Tarot deck.

 

It was a creative experiment developed for Destinos Cruzados, a class group that took its name from The Castle of Crossed Destinies by Italo Calvino — a book in which some travelers, arriving one by one after long and solitary journeys through a forest, come across a mysterious castle. Once inside, they become mute and must tell their stories using tarot cards.

This almanac was written, designed, and laid out by me. The illustrations were sourced from Tarot de Marseille Millenium, Sumada’s Treasure Box, Max Elhumano, Rawpixel, and Freepik.
